OBSERVED
Qingpu adds the infrastructure layer to the Shanghai map. The district's account states that its AI+ Joint Innovation Center, developed with Huawei and ecosystem partners, began operations on July 27, 2026 in an approximately 5,400-square-metre facility.
The same account links the center with Huawei's Lianqiu Lake research base and describes computing, operating-system, connectivity and embodied-intelligence work. That establishes what the district announced; it does not independently measure application performance.
This record is desk research, not a visit inside those facilities. The useful follow-up is to trace one application from research and infrastructure to a named user, a task and repeatable operating results.

QINGPU — Shanghai’s AI Stack & YRD Gateway 🤖🌉🇨🇳 If Zhangjiang shows ecosystem formation and Lingang shows industrial scale, Qingpu shows the infrastructure layer behind Physical AI. On July 27, 2026, the Yangtze River Delta AI+ Joint Innovation Center began operations in Qingpu. The ~5,400 sqm facility was jointly developed by Qingpu district, Huawei and ecosystem partners for testing, incubation, application demonstrations and commercialization. Its platforms include OpenHarmony, Kunpeng/Ascend, NearLink and Embodied Intelligence, alongside shared computing services. The center also works with Huawei’s nearby Lianqiu Lake R&D Center, connecting foundational research with application development. Lianqiu Lake is Huawei’s largest global R&D base, with about 2.06 million sqm of built space and more than RMB 10 billion invested. Physical AI needs more than robots. It needs: chips → compute → OS → connectivity → embodied intelligence → commercialization Qingpu is becoming one of the places where those layers connect. Located on Shanghai’s western edge, it also links the city to the wider Yangtze River Delta. B2AGI take: Zhangjiang shows the ecosystem. Lingang shows scale. Qingpu shows the stack behind Physical AI. 📍 Qingpu District · West Shanghai · China 🤖 Category: AI infrastructure / Physical AI ecosystem 📊 ~5,400 sqm · operational since Jul 27, 2026 🧠 OpenHarmony · Kunpeng/Ascend · NearLink · Embodied Intelligence 🔎 Verification: Official Shanghai + Qingpu sources 🔓 Access: Desk research ⚠️ Classification: Ecosystem infrastructure — not proof of scaled deployment B2AGI — Physical AI Deployment Intelligence We go where intelligence becomes physical. 🌐 b2agi.com
